ObituaryHer Obituary was published on 9 April 1928 and stated:. Mrs. Carr the wife of Mr. Whitmore B. Carr, president of the Adelaide Stock Exchange, and chairman of the S.A.J.C., died at the North Adelaide Private Hospital on Sunday. She would have celebrated her 49th birthday 0n Sunday next. She was a daughter or Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Turnbull, and was twice married. Her first husband was Mr. H. Kither, and some years after his death she married Mr. Carr. She had not been in good health for some time. In 1926 she accompanied her husband on a visit to England in the hope that the change would be beneficial. Mr. and Mrs. Carr returned to Adelaide shortly before the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of York at the end of April, 1927 and she acted as hostess when their Royal Highnesses were the guests at Victoria Park of the S.A.J.C. Mrs. Carr had no children. Surviving sisters are Mesdames George C. Braund of Prospect; J. Sangster of St. Peters; and Leslie Aldridge of Richmond Park; and Miss Turnbull of North Adelaide.
